userName

Details #

userName() takes no arguments and returns text: the full name of the account, such as Ada Lovelace, as set in System Settings. For the short login name use userLogin.

Gotchas #

• Calling it with an argument is an error: userName() takes 0 arguments, got 1.

• It is the full name, which may contain spaces. Don't use it in a file path; use userLogin() or userHome().
