acos

Details #

acos(x) takes exactly one argument, a number from -1 to 1, and returns an angle in radians between 0 and 3.14159.

Gotchas #

• Calling it with no argument or two arguments is an error: acos() takes 1 argument, got 2.

• Anything that isn't a number is an error: acos() needs a number, got text. Numeric text such as "0.5" is accepted.

• A number outside -1 to 1 has no arccosine; the step stops with acos() has no result for that number.
