screenResolution

Returns a screen's size as `widthxheight` text.

Keyboard Maestro: ScreenResolution

Details #

screenResolution(which?) takes zero or one argument and returns text such as 1512x982: the screen's width and height in whole screen points. which picks the screen as in screenFrame (empty or main, a 1-based number, last, or part of a name).

Parameters #

Takes 0 to 1 argument. {{ screenResolution(text?) }}

Examples #

screenResolution()
→
screenResolution("last")
→

Gotchas #

  • The numbers are points, not hardware pixels, so a Retina screen reports half its pixel count in each direction.

  • A screen that doesn't exist gives empty text, not an error.
