memory

Returns how much RAM the Mac has, in bytes.

Keyboard Maestro: MEMORY

Details #

memory() takes no arguments and returns the installed physical memory as a number of bytes (a 16 GB Mac gives 17179869184).

Parameters #

Takes 0 arguments. {{ memory() }}

Examples #

memory()
→ 17179869184
memory() / 1073741824
→ 16

Gotchas #

  • Calling it with any argument is an error: memory() takes 0 arguments, got 1.

  • The answer is in bytes, not gigabytes. Divide by 1073741824 for GB.
