systemLongVersion

Returns the macOS version with the patch number, such as 15.1.1.

Keyboard Maestro: LongSystemVersion, SystemLongVersion

Details #

systemLongVersion() takes no arguments and returns text in the form major.minor.patch, such as 15.1.0. The patch number is always included, even when it is 0. It is text, so compare it with ==, not as a number.

Parameters #

Takes 0 arguments. {{ systemLongVersion() }}

Examples #

systemLongVersion()
→
split(systemLongVersion(), ".")[0]
→

Gotchas #

  • Calling it with an argument is an error: systemLongVersion() takes 0 arguments, got 1.

  • This is not a number: 15.1.0 can't be compared with >. Split it and use number() on the parts.
