userLogin

Returns the current user's short account name.

Details #

userLogin() takes no arguments and returns text: the short account name used to log in, such as ada. It is the name in the home folder's path. For the display name use userName.

Gotchas #

Calling it with an argument is an error: userLogin() takes 0 arguments, got 1.
