pastClipboard

Details #

pastClipboard(index) takes zero or one argument and returns text. index is a whole number into Switchboard's clipboard history and defaults to 0. A missing argument, or one that isn't a number, counts as 0.

An entry with no text (an image, say) gives empty text, as does an index past the end of the history.

Gotchas #

• Needs the clipboard history to be on and holding entries; otherwise the answer is empty text.

• The lookup gives up after 2 seconds and returns empty text.
