Webhooks

Set who can reach your macros' webhook routes, how often, and see what is held while your Mac is away. The routes themselves are in the Library.

A Webhook trigger gives a macro an address under /hooks.

What's here #

  • Network: Allow webhooks on this network and its Port. The listener runs only while a macro's webhook is set to This network.

  • Limits: Requests a minute per route. A route called more often answers 429 with how long to wait. Bodies can be up to 10 MB.

  • Internet: your public address for routes set to The internet. You need to be signed in.

  • Routes: how many routes there are, and Show in Library, which opens them in the main window under Webhooks in the sidebar, each with Copy URL.

  • Locked out: addresses locked out after five failed attempts in a minute, for ten minutes. Clear lockouts frees them.

  • Held while away: requests kept for you while the Mac was asleep or offline, with Discard…

Tricks #

  • The server keeps requests to routes that can wait for up to 3 days.

  • Discarding held requests can't be undone, and the senders won't resend.
