AI
Choose which models Switchboard's AI steps use, add your keys, and cap what they cost.
Where the AI steps, Make with AI and the rest get their models.
What's here #
Presets: a preset is a name for a provider and model, such as "Fast". Macros pick a preset, so you change what "Fast" means in one place. Each has an Effort setting and a Temperature switch. Make one the Default.
Providers: bring your own key. Keys go in your Keychain on this Mac and never into a file or log. You can also add an OpenAI-compatible server.
Spending: this month's cost, a Monthly cap in dollars, and a list by macro.
Switchboard plan: a row that opens Account.
Tricks #
Add OpenAI-Compatible Server… has quick fills for OpenRouter, Ollama and LM Studio. A server on this Mac needs no key.
Test sends one tiny message to check a key and model.
Delete a preset and the macros that used it run on the default preset and are flagged until you pick another.
