Clipboard History

The hotkey that opens the clipboard history panel.

Clipboard History keeps what you copied so you can paste it again. This area has one setting, the key that opens the panel.

What's here #

  • Clipboard history hotkey: opens the panel from any app. Control Option Command V is the usual key. Record a new key, or choose None to turn the hotkey off. The Clipboard History item in the menu bar still works.

Tricks #

  • Type in the panel to search. Add @safari (any app name) to show only what was copied in that app.

  • Select a copy and press Command-K to see the macros that can act on it: clean a link, pretty-print JSON, and so on.

  • Command-C in the panel copies an item back without pasting it.
