Hold a key, talk, and clean text lands where you were typing.
Hold a key, speak, let go, and the text appears in the field you were in. This area edits the Hold to Talk macro for you.
What's here #
Hold to talk is on, and the Hotkey. Fn Space is the usual key.
Mode: hold to talk, or press to start and press to stop.
Language: automatic follows this Mac's language.
Cleanup: None types what was heard. Light removes fillers and fixes punctuation, on this Mac, and never adds words.
Style by app: a tone per app, such as casual for Slack or a code comment in Xcode. Restore Defaults resets the list.
Words: names and product terms, separated by commas.
Microphone, and Keep the last 20 recordings.
Tricks #
Esc while holding cancels.
If Fn opens the emoji picker, set "Press globe key to" to Do Nothing in System Settings.
Cleanup is skipped when it takes over a second and a half, and the words are typed as heard.
