Switchboard starts

Runs the macro once each time the Switchboard engine starts.

Switchboard starts

Keyboard Maestro: Login

Details #

Fires once when the engine starts, which is normally when you sign in, if Switchboard starts at login. Saving or editing macros later does not fire it again; only a new engine start does. It takes no parameters.

{{triggerValue}} is empty.

Secure input does not affect this trigger.

Parameters #

This trigger takes no parameters.

Every trigger also takes Limits: a cooldown, the first time each day, every nth time, twice within seconds, a chance, only while you are at the Mac, on one Mac, or in a State. See Limits on any trigger.

Examples #

Greet at start
When
  1. Switchboard starts
Do
  1. Show “Switchboard is ready”
Open in Switchboard to try it

Gotchas #

  • Other sources start before it fires, but apps and services you open at login may not be ready yet. Add a wait for anything you depend on.

  • Not fired reasons: disabled, groupOff, scope, paused, conditionFalse.
