A download starts or finishes

Runs the macro when a download starts, finishes or fails in a Chrome-family browser.

A download event

Details #

Needs the browser extension (Settings ▸ Browsers). The Chrome family only; Safari has no download events for extensions.

event is started, finished (the default) or failed. match.url matches the file's address. The run starts with file (its name), path when known, mime, bytes, url and error.

Parameters #

Parameter	Type	Required	Values	What it does

`match`	record		`browser` `title` `url`	`url` (the file's address) and `browser`.

Every trigger also takes Limits: a cooldown, the first time each day, every nth time, twice within seconds, a chance, only while you are at the Mac, on one Mac, or in a State. See Limits on any trigger.

Gotchas #

Lint warns when the trigger is limited to Safari.
