Hold the hotkey to act on the selection
Makes the palette hotkey tap-or-hold: a tap searches, a hold shows the actions for what you have selected.

Where: Settings › Palette, the Hold the hotkey to act on the selection switch.
Key: paletteHoldActs. Type: true or false. Default: true.
On, a tap of the Palette hotkey opens the palette when you let go, and a hold longer than Hold time opens Actions for This over what you are on. With nothing to act on, a hold opens the plain palette. Off, the palette opens the moment you press the key and holding does nothing more.
Gotchas #
A group's own palette hotkey always opens on press.
The change applies at once; the engine re-reads it.
