POST /signins

Saves a sign-in from the connected browser or from pasted text, replacing one of the same name.

Details #

Body: {"name": "GitHub", "source": "browser", "url": "https://github.com/"} reads the cookies for that site from the connected browser (the extension asks permission the first time and the call can wait up to 90 s). {"name": "GitHub", "source": "paste", "text": "curl ...", "host": "github.com"} parses a cURL command or a Cookie: header in the engine; host is needed only for a bare header. Optional: hosts, browser (chrome or safari), loginUrl, signedOutWhen. A sign-in of the same name is replaced. Answers the new item as in GET /signins. 400 means the input can't be read; 409 means no browser is connected or it has no cookies for the site, and the message says what to do.

Parameters #

curl --unix-socket "$SWITCHBOARD_HOME/engine.sock" -X POST http://localhost/signins

Save a sign-in from the connected browser or pasted text. The Unix socket needs no token; loopback 127.0.0.1:48080 needs Authorization: Bearer <api-token>.
