search_capabilities

Searches every step Switchboard can run, so an agent finds the right one before it writes a macro.

Details #

An agent sends some words and gets the matching steps: each one's type, title, provider, the kinds of value it takes (inputs) and gives (outputs), and its form (params) when it is a generated step. Built-in steps and extension actions are always searched.

The steps made from an imported web API, command-line tool, Service or URL scheme are searched only for the kinds you allowed under Settings > Agents & MCP. When something imported is held back, the answer says so in note, so the agent can ask you to allow it.
