Details #

As a bare token, {{date}} gives today's date in your local time zone as yyyy-MM-dd, for example 2026-10-24. As a call, date(format, offset) takes two optional arguments:

• format: A date format pattern. yyyy-MM-dd is the default. HH:mm is the 24-hour time, EEEE the weekday name, MMM d gives Oct 24. An empty format uses the default.

• offset: Moves the date first. Write +3d, -1w, +2m (months), +1y, +4h or +30min, or a number of seconds. Days, weeks, months and years move by the calendar.

A run variable with the same name wins. If a step stores something in a variable called date, {{date}} reads that variable, not the live value. Name your own variables something else.
